Rabbit raising Part 3, homesteading survivalist survival food storage peak oil 2012

Part 3 of our new series on raising rabbits. This series has been in the works for six months as we have tried to capture video of kits at various ages and stages of growth. This new series is about raising rabbits for MEAT, ie, to EAT. Be forewarned that we will discuss rabbit raising in that format and later videos will show some butchering – with a warning before it actually comes up. So for the PETA crowd, men of the other gender and the “we won’t eat anything with eyes” crowd, you’ll probably want to skip these videos. As some of you know I’ve been having a heckuva time uploading files lately. I had to go with a non high def version here just to get it uploaded, so please save the “the camera sucks” comments ;) I’ve tried numerous file types, next I’m gonna try a new editor perhaps….. Thanks for watching and please bear with us on the lower quality video, it is FREE after all. Be sure to check out our new online message board at www.survivalandpreparedness.com

Survival Gardening Part 2 peak oil, TSHTF, food storage

In a new series of video we discuss and will show methods of gardening “when it counts.” The first 3 short videos detail some of the pitfalls and perils to the common survival/preparedness thinking of “when my storage food runs out I’ll just grow a garden.” Intermixed throughout the first three videos are also invaluable tips on gardening and food production for the homestead, survival retreat or backyard in suburbia. The first step in planning to truly grow your own food is to recognize the factors working AGAINST you, so you can plan accordingly. If your interested in being able to feed yourself from your own labor either now or after an economic collapse, peak oil, etc. then you should view these video. www.survivalreport.net Prepare, preparedness, survival, survivalist, peak oil, economic collapse, war, terrorism Survival Gardening Basics Part 2

Survival and Prepper videos

Why I am a prepper and urge others to become prepared. Never have I seen so many signs of a perfect storm. The 50′s were great, the 60′s challenging, the 80′s good, the 90′s not so bad, but today has many threats we must consider. Not only is it in our best interest to prepare, I believe it is our duty to make our loved ones secure, fed, watered and shelterd. Duty might be a nasty word to some, hence that is one of the signs we must consider. Preppers have a peace of mind and it is a great state of mind.

How To Protect Your Survival Garden

For centuries our society knew how to grow a garden and crops, raise cattle, and survive by cooking, preserving, and thriving off of them. However, by and large those days are gone. Most people in our society today don’t know the first thing about growing a garden, raising a chicken, canning vegetables, or baking a loaf of bread from scratch. If you know how to do even some of these things, then congratulations, you are well on your way. If you do not, it’s not your fault, this what our complex society has stolen from you. However, it’s time to learn! During World War II, every American family was encouraged to plant a “victory garden” to help ease the food shortages that existed because of the war effort. Today, we do not face a food shortage because of a war effort, but we do face a very serious food shortage. Disasters throughout the world, decreases in bee pollination, increasing oil prices, collapsing economies, ethanol production, and many other reasons have lead to the highest food prices in history and those high prices are only an indicator that supply is falling and demand is skyrocketing. However, during this food shortage the government is not encouraging you to plant a “collapse garden,” but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good idea or even a life essential idea. It is unlikely that the majority of you will be able to survive entirely off of your own gardens, just as most of you will be unable to survive off your food stockpiles. We generally don’t have enough

DIY Survival Cabin For Economic Collapse Episode 7 – Chainsaw Mill-Timber Framing-

Have you taken steps to prepare your family to survive economic collapse? Our economy is on the verge of total collapse. Now is the time to prepare for tough times ahead. This video covers the largest and most complex timbers in the survival cabin. I had much trouble getting this large White Fir log onto the cribbing. Fortunately the log was large enough to cut both 16′ sill timbers from it. Have you always wanted a small cabin in the woods? This video series will demonstrate how mill your own timbers with a Alaskan chainsaw mill. I will also be using a mini mill attachment. The saw I’m using is a Stihl MS441. The Ms441 is a bit to small. I would recommend a Stihl MS066.
