When food prices go up the restaurants will adjust the amount of the portions very slightly to keep? the food cost from going up. For example a bowl of soup that is now ten ounces will be reduced to nine and a half and if they serve 100 bowls a soup a day that’s 50 less ounces of soup they’ve used and most people won’t notice the difference.
