New to pressure canning. Bought a 22qt Mirro. Can’t get weight to CONTINUOUSLY rock in the mfg’s “test” to determine what temp to reduce it to to maintain the “jiggle”. It WON’T JIGGLE CONTINUOUSLY-EVEN AT HIGH TEMP! Weight vents violently for several seconds, then quits for 30 seconds, then does it again! First time I’ve ever seen wires attached to the bottom of a weight. Had to really push hard to get it on the vent pipe. Did I push down too hard? Is that? even possible? No continuous jiggle!
I really appreciate your videos. I am new to canning and gardening this year. I’ve harvested some cucumbers and I am canning sweet pickles as I type. Now,? I’m ready for the bush beans to produce so I can preserve them too. Thank you.
I LOVE your canning videos! I am new to pressure canning, so these are? awesome. Thanks so much, and have an awesome one…PS Looking foward to your shows, I know they are going to be good!
They will be fine maybe a little over cooked. You need to chect you holes in the canner lid for? the pressure to climb more then a couple psi with weight off suggest you have a blockage in your vent. Check out my video all about the pressure canner. Blessings!
I have a question for you. I did the raw pack on the green beans tonight and I let the pressure canner vent for 10? minutes before I put the weight on it. Then I set the timer for 25 minutes.
But the pressure never went back down to 10 lbs; it has stayed at 14 lbs ever since.
Do you think they will still be okay???
I really like your videos.
Thanks for your time and trouble.
Looks awfully complicated (and scary) to do this canning, but it’s wonderful that you are able to actually save what you just harvested! Very nice and very efficient. I don’t think I would EVER try to do this . . . canning is so complex!
I? still think your voice sounds great! *lol* I could listen to you (and Betty) all day long!
Nice vid Bexar!! I am assuming this can be done in a water bath also?? BTW- couldn’t help? but notice you a southpaw! Me too!- we gonna take over the world someday….LOL ~l;-)
I can’t keep home canned green beans on my pantry shelves! My kids and husband gobble them up like candy!!! LOL Anyone who has not home canned green beans before is really missing out, they are delicious! Thanks for? the video, Bexar, I always learn something new when I watch your videos! I haven’t tried the tattlers yet, but I think you have me convinced to get some! Krista
Thank you so? much for your kind words. Blessings!
i love love love your vids learning a lot from you. just wanted to let you know your doing a great job keep up the good? work

I find that some people have to? much free time on their hands. If they just got busy they wouldn’t worry so much….no time.,Blessings!
Nice video! You’ve made me hungry?
That makes two of us. I choose not? to add any. Salt is not a requirement. Blessings!
Hi Bear, Did I miss the bit when you added the salt? ?
It is SO helpful to see a REAL person canning– not a Germ-a-phobe with their long list of? rules.
Thank you for this great video, Bexar!
