Katzcradul displays the variety of foods she has dehydrated from fruits to vegetables, herbs to meat. She shows her dehydrator and the Vidalia Chop Wizard, a great tool in preparing vegetables for dehydrating. ***CORRECTION*** – It cost about .07 cents per HOUR to operate a dehydrator not per minute as I said in the video.

Welcome! So glad to have you aboard. You’ll have to check out my? radio show at PrepperBroadcasting(dot)com, Thursday nights, at 8 p.m. central time. You’ll find a lot of information there as well. There are four of us that rotate hosting duties.
I just found this channel and its very helpful for a first timer? at dehydrating, THANK YOU.
You are SO welcome.? Your comment made my day.
Thank you for making these type? of videos. I have wanted certain foods in those times of the year that you cannot find or its too expensive. You have been a God send. This will save me so much money!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
I loved my chopper as well!! Had it for over? 5 years. Sadly it broke last week, and I miss it!
LOL Great video!
Thanks so? much. I love all your videos! You inspired me to dig out the dehydrator and actually use it!
No, I put them on mesh sheets that have smaller holes than the regular trays. They’re available from one of my favorite companies, Pleasant? Hill Grain. You can get 3 sheets for $8.95 plus shipping and handling. Hope this helps.
When you used the small dice do you? dry them on the fruit leather trays?
Would you be willing to share your recipe for? the eggplant dressing? We have lots of eggplant this year and the family is getting tired of eggplant parmesan!
No,? but I have already canned with them. (Not the blue ones though.)
Are you placing these Ball jars in the freezer? for storage?
Do you have to? boil the potatoes prior to placing in the dehydrator?
Good news they are now all on sale at Amazon I even ordered the Nesco Gardenmaster 1000 watt dehydrator plus two extra trays. Not 40? dollars for sure I recieved it today and it is sweet and larger than the picture on Amazon. Thanks for all your infomation contains a book of instructions, ordered the Oxygen sensor also.
Dee? ~ Didn’t have time to go back and watch the video. I would order from Amazon.com now. I order so much from them and have never had a bit of trouble…ever. Thanks.
Couldn’t understand where? you ordered (online) extra trays for your Dehydrator. Please explain
I purchased Oxygen? Absorbers from Amazon.com
LOL…(blushing)…I’m probably old enough to be your mama.?
Where were you when I? was a young and pretty man? You’re my kind of woman. I hope you realize the good you are doing.
You are so welcome. Thank you for taking the time to watch.?
Thank you!? I appreciate you making videos.
Thanks for your reply. I’ve managed to? persuade everybody I know to save their old jars from the supermarket lol, and I plan to build a home made dehydrator so all I need now is to learn how to vacuum seal a jar lol.
Thanks again, Dave :~)
I do not use oxygen absorbers when I vacuum seal food in jars. I have food that 3+ years old that still fine. If you want to throw in a small oxygen absorber,? the food would last indefinitely if you stored it in a dark, cool place. No need for new lids. Then use ones work much better.
Hi, thanks for posting the video. It’s actually the second or third time I’ve watched it. Sorry I can’t add more than one thumbs up lol.
Do you dehydrate for the year only, or for longer term storage with oxygen absorbers included? I ask because I have the means to store food for a year with old jars and lids and without oxygen absorbers, but wonder if for longer term food storage I could still? use these old jars and lids but with oxygen absorbers, or would I need to buy new lids? Thanks again.
I’ve used many dehydrated food in my video. I may do a couple of? videos where dehydrated foods are the star. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I would love to see you? do a series of videos on how to incorporated these many dehydrated foods into recipes…would you consider, doing so?
