Going through theProcessofGrieving in the best way you know how.I agree,To much focus on one side, leaves you imbalanced for shock on the other side. Moderation and having other ppls gifts/talents to help maintain the balance of? Prep living. We humans, are designed not to be islands.Unity with like mindedSpiritually mature ppl&Nature, will manifest continued Life.Disconnection creates suffering.Problems are introduced to us humans, not to be fixed, but to learn to deal with them.Can’tChangeThePast.

Did the Lord not? rain down food from heaven and supply water for the people as they were in the wilderness? Store up your treasures in heaven, even the birds are fed, why would the Lord not take care of you? Peace

Glad you’ve giving the bigger picture. At the end of the day, God is sovereign, and nothing we can do is a 100% guarantee of being safe or secure, at least nothing beyond placing our trust in Jesus Christ. I’m sorry to hear about your fiance,? but as you know, nothing that someone like myself can say or do is going to change or significantly affect your level of pain or comfort. What I can say for sure is that these circumstances can be used for your good, and you would do well to take advantage.

Body armor is not illegal for civilians; it is illegal in some states for felons to possess it. Typically, used police body armor is available at gun shows and other places. Bottom line, if you look respectable, you can get some. The used armor (out of date stock, basically) is perfectly fine, and will stop hangun ammo and shotgun rounds. The mfrs only give it a 5 yr warranty so they can sell news vests, but body armor? has no known “shelf life.” It’s only weak if it’s been shot.

Ur not allowed to have body armor unless ur police or law enforcement. The stuff u CAN buy is pretty lackluster. Keep in mind that body armor doesn’t really = bulletproof. If someone is REALLY anticipating situations where body armor will save ur life and let u fight another day, they r either in fantasy land, or don’t realize that if the situation is THAT bad that u NEED it, body armor isn’t going to have? much effect on ur chances overall. With that said, if u can afford it, I’d still buy it.

Also some who buy guns and ammo don’t bother to buy any body armor. Are they assuming that they? won’t get hit?

An? attitude of gratitude! I haven’t heard that said in a long while! Even on the worst day you can find something to be grateful for! Sometimes it’s just that the day is through and you made it! You could even just be grateful you have a loving God who hears your prayers!Whatever the reason, that “attitude of gratitude” is important for your personal well being. It can get you through some difficult times! Take care PN,you are in my prayers daily!

Wise words indeed. Just as our preps need to be diverse and balanced so too our attitudes need to be balanced. Fanaticism and obsession are no way to approach a level of healthy preparedness.
You are in my prayers PN. There will be good days and bad days. Praise God on the good days and hide yourself in the Rock of Ages on the bad. Don’t require more from yourself than you would from? someone else. God Bless

Yes! There is a dangerous pitfall involved with allowing something you do to become part of your identity. In? the case of preparedness, it can even lead to complacency.
“What do you mean am I prepared? Of course I’m prepared. Look at my label. It even says PREP in it!”

I’m sorry to hear about your loss. My prayer lifte dup for you in Christ Jesus. I admit, I do not really follow Prepping/SHTF stuff strongly. I believe we are to be spirtually prepared 1st & foremost & then practical for self & others.? I am a Nursing student & came across your prep for emergence wound care & subcribed. Had I knew about your lost I would have contacted sooner. My condolocense. May Jesus be LORD & Savior of all our souls (true prep):) May God bless.

Smart girl. As an ex-military trainer I would suggest numbers. You need large groups of people who think the same way you do. If you try to stand alone you will fall. She correct, we don’t need to let it consume our? lives, BUT, you do need to be ready. With the new health plain in effect we will need to stand up for ourselves. Learn as much as possible. Get back to your roots, Become farmers, raise chickens, grow food and learn how to collect water. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Great topic, not many people talking about how some preppers almost become? obsessive. A number of the scenarios we prepare for can be overwhelming if you dwell on them too much

Back in? the 90s some of us had the courage to call it the ‘Militia,’ that awful word that’s actually in the 2nd Amendment. Our purpose was to train to kill those who stood in the way of restoring Liberty and the Constitution. ‘Prepping’ as it wasn’t called then, was only a part of that, a tool.

If you sit home waiting your turn you deserve to have your gun taken from your cold dead hands.

The Founders didn’t wait for the Brits to knock down their doors. They gathered at the green and stood up like men and they killed government employees all the way back to Boston.

What will you do when it’s time to hunt NWO hacks, republicrats and commies(“Liberals” and ‘progressives’)?

Millions will dig the ditch they are told to dig then piss their pants when the machine gun bolts slam home and die stupidly wondering “How did this happen to me?” The tiny minority will have to do what will be required.

It’s time to stop arguing over the culture war. It’s time to stop hunkering down for the apocalypse. It’s time to stop waiting to get beamed up.? It’s time to start thinking Normandy.
