Wise Food Storage Meals

www.preparingwisely.com Wise Food Storage Meals are freeze dried meals that store for up to 25 years. What makes these meals so great is that they come sealed in mylar pouches that are in turn packed into square buckets to maximize room and provide a great way to protect the meals. The buckets are easy to transport. Just measure out the contents of the meal, add hot water, allow to rehydrate for 15 minutes and eat!

DID YOU PRE-TASTE THE WISE FOOD BEFORE YOU BULKED UP. ? IT IS THE WORST. LIKE 35%040% SALT CONTENT. HORRIBLE FOOD. ONLY BUY A FEW SAMPLE AND TRY BEFORE YOU BUY. YUKKKKK

You bring up a viable concern. Outside of visiting their facility or having an expert opinion it is hard to truly validate. I like that they flush with nitrogen and not just use an oxygen absorber. Their meals taste fairly good, although they are not as good as MountainHouse. You can request some samples from the company and then you can at least get an idea of how good they are. If you don’t go with the Wise Food go? with MountainHouse.

What proof is there that Wise products are viable as a long-term food storage option other than? their claims? This is the one thing that has me hesitating on making a purchase.

Wise Freeze Dry Food has a very heavy salt content. I bought 60 servings, but came to find out they were 4 servings per bag, 15 bags in a container. If I ate just one 4 serving bag it would be about 200% of the daily salt intake. Way too much. These will give you a heart attack. The food taste? is crappy. GO with Mt House or regular civilian MRE’s Just my take. READ THE INGREDIENTS AND PERCENTAGE OF SALT ON THE BAG. TRY BEFORE YOU BUY LARGE QUANTITIES.

Remember “UP TO” 25 years. I’d? give it 2-5 years.

Has anyone ever asked Wise Foods how they came up with a 25 year shelf life. Wake up consumers! These guys will say anything they can to get you to buy their product. Have they been? around for 25 years? No. Will they be around in 25 years….hmmmm

    1. A nitrogen flush is a low oxygen environment not an oxygen free environment.
This is no different then the groceries you buy at the store.
    2. Almonds and SUnflower Seeds etc, contained in these products will not last no matter how they are stored.

When? the famine that is coming finally hits the U.S., we won’t care about the MSG; we’ll just be happy to have some food.

You make a good point. Freeze Dried Meals aren’t all that healthy, but I think we may get to the poing where any food may be needed to sustain us, so this is? additional food insurance. We try to eat healthy, ie whole grains, sprouted seeds and grains, raw milk, backyard poultry and eggs, etc. However, we may have to eat foods like these in an emergency.
