Yoders bacon rocks as a long term storage food for many reasons like.. It is Heat pasteurized in a sealed can 100% USDA Bacon, Packed in the US No refrigeration before opening 2-year manufacturer shelf life guarantee. Up to a 10-year shelf life Compact and lightweight (only 4.5″ high by 3″ wide and weighs only 9 oz) Approximately 50-60 slices per can Great for emergency storage and camping or backpacking Oh and even better it tastes awesome! It is a bit of a mess when you open it though, this video shows you how we prepare a can for use on an ongoing basis. Try some of this stuff I promise you it is one hell of a great project and stores beautifully for a very long time.

You are right for fat, he is right? for salt.
THANK YOU DUDE I’m going camping? so i baught one of these and some other survival foods thanks subscribe!
It the? south, “healthy” means you fry it in Crisco in stead of lard.
best? intro ever….
I would be concerned about nitrates, nitrites, and? msg
I suppose “healthy” is? a relative term
- Well may be you don’t want to but I do. Fat is one of the most important? components to our diet.
You don’t want to use greasy pork as a survival food. Get some MREs from the many survivalist companies. They have good HEALTHY meals that have vegetable protein. This crap he’s getting out of that can is loaded with salt and other crap that? won’t do you much good.
i didnt take a microwave to the duck blind, but i did take a can of yoder’s bacon, a small propane cook stove, and cast iron skillet. 58 pieces of YUMMY bacon disappeared? in a short time. my hunt buddies couldnt believe …
a- bacon came out of a can.
b- the amount of delicious bacon can held., and
c- the can was 2+ years old.
i can alot of goodies myself, but found the yoder can more cost effective than home canning.
good vid. ty.
Awesome info, thanks?
wow never heard of this before. this would go great with my long term food stuffs. check my channel.
thanks for the? video
Awesome video
How long will the bacon last ( uneaten)
After opened and refrigerated?
Will have to see if I can find? this in Canada
- You certainly could improve quality by making your own but you are NOT going to do it cheaper, it just isn’t going to happen baring some major opportunity buy on ends and pieces or something like that. You just can’t buy 70 pieces of bacon for less then? 12 bucks not to mention the additional costs of time, materials and energy.
Why? not make your own. It would be a little cheaper. There are sites on youtube that explain how. But great video I am learning so much.
Awesome? Vid – very informative – thanks!
Congrats! You’re welcome btw. I am always going to stand up against these ignoramuses who are eating? lettuce and carrots. I love those too but come on….BACON is the shiznit! I am a lady sir….but you can call me man anytime! Very proud of your weight loss! I’m still working on it.
- Thanks man! BTW my total weight loss is now in? excess of 75 pounds and I never gave up an ounce of bacon for it. I did have to stop eating potatoes, wheat, rice and soy, you know all that shit they claim is “good for us”. I am currently 207, at 17 in high school I played football at 190, so at 40 I don’t really need to be much leaner then I am now, perhaps 10 more lbs at the most.
- Per the? can about 5 years, from my view as it is in a can, in an air tight environment and in a paste of grease I would say it is in all practicality much longer then that. Most expiry dates are simply a CYA kind of thing.
What is the suggested shelf life of? the bacon? I know you said you had that one for two years, but is that its max shelf life? Thanks for all the vids.
shipyardbob I have lost 60+ pounds eating mostly meat, cheese, butter and veggies. AND my cholesterol level is 170.? You have bought into the LIES that the government and their stupid lobbyist for fake butter have given this country for decades. Wake up. And seriously….who the HELL are you to tell anyone to tell anyone what they should do or not do?? Another doink.
Mmmm bacon! Great? video … thanks for the info!
- Oh go blow it out of your ass! That is how I really feel, BTW by eating MOSTLY MEAT for the last year I have now lost over 40 pounds, not that I give a shit what anyone thinks about my weight.
Salads are a great way to get fat by the way.?
Hey Jack.. Love your channel and pod casts..? So when I say get off the bacon and order a salad it comes from the heart..
Please do yourself a favor. And drop a cpl pounds..
The survival community would would be devistated to lose such a good person..
Keep up the great work.. Don’t forget
You are what you eat!!!!
This stuff is great! Bacon is? going up in price so there’s not much difference when you figure in your prep, cooking time, etc of store bought. There is a LOT of bacon in the can. I made some great BLTs with the Yoder product. Quality meats. One negative vote? Must be a PETA knucklehead…
In a grid down situation do you have any ideas on storing the extra bacon? 50 or 60 pieces is too much for one meal unless you? are serving any army and I’m not counting on having electricity for storing open cans in a worst case scenario. Love the video though…have wondered about ordering it but worry about the storage after opening.
