Using the tube provided in your FoodSaver or other brand of vacuum packer, you can vacuum seal mylar bags. It’s easiest to use a hair straightener, but with a little ingenuity, you can probably figure out a way to use your iron. Hope this helps your prepping endeavors!

As great of an idea. Whenever? we replace the sealer we returned, I’ll try that! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!?
Very nice! ? Great Job, easy to understand. Hope you don’t mind me linking this on my forum. prepperlog com thanks again!
I use my foodsaver in almost the same way, instead of cutting the end off I found out the tip was the perfect size for a regular drinking straw to stick on it. I just seal the mylar bag almost? to the end, insert the straw and suck out the air.
